Advanced Variables Tab
For Interaction Editors using the advanced Variables tab format, the Variables tab consists of three sub-tabs:
- Create Object Sets Sub-Tab: Allows you to define object sets to organize objects in the interaction's answer space into groups (sets) based on specified properties. Object sets focus the rubric on certain elements in the response area.
- Bind Variables Sub-Tab: Allows you to define variables that identify specific objects, qualities, and characteristics in the object sets. Variables determine certain qualities about the objects retrieved in the object sets.
- Interaction Assertions Sub-Tab: Allows you to define assertions that evaluate whether the variables meet criteria for a correct, partially correct, or incorrect response.
The advanced Variables tab also includes a set of radio buttons you can use to indicate whether the interaction should be scored. Selecting the Not Evaluated radio button deactivates the sub-tabs.
